·         Add .OLD at the end of file name

Method 3: Generate a new Window User

             Click on the Windows start button from the keyboard
·         On the Control Panel, select User Account icon
·         To generate a new user click on to create a new user
·         Must verify that you are choosing Administrator for user type
·         Log out from the existing user
·         Reboot the computer for the complete changes
·         Sign in from the user you have just created
·         Transfer the company file on to your desktop
·         Now you can open QuickBooks desktop with all the authorities for the newly created folders

Method 4: Make sure that QuickBooks is not running as Administrator

            Double click on the icon of your QuickBooks Desktop
·         Click on to the Properties
·         Select Compatibility tab
·         Uncheck Run this program as administrator
·         Click to Show Settings for All users
·         Choose Ok
·         Exit and Restart QuickBooks
