To create backup let us follow the below mentioned steps:

Chose your company File. 

Go ahead with selecting Switch to Single-user Mode.

There navigate to the File menu.

Scroll down to click on Backup Company.

Then go ahead with selecting Create Local Backup.

There you get to click on Options.

› This will open Backup Options screen which will give all the alternatives to backup.

This will give you a field that says Tell us where to save your backup copies.

Beside this you get an option to click on Browse and this will provide you with all the locations where you can save the backup copy.

›  At the moment continue to the Online and Local Backup subdivision, there you chose Remind me to back up when I close my company file if you wish to create a frequency for regular backup reminders.

This will help you in verifying the data you are saving and also report you about any data mismanaged by giving you various verification options. You may proceed by selecting one.

Next you click on OK.

You will get a Create Backup window. Here you can mention if you want your data to get automatically backed up and even select from Options to choose your option for automatic backups.

From the Schedule Backups dialog you may choose New to generate your choice of backup schedule.

› You will have options to choose a location, the time at which the back should be done ad you may even update a description.

Finally click on Finish and we are done.

Once you are done creating a backup now you can restore.

In case you are wondering how to restore the back, not to worry, here we present a set of steps which you can perform to fetch the backup file.

In your QuickBooks desktop click on the File menu.

› Then scroll to -> Open or Restore Company.

Further select -> Restore a backup copy

Then -> Next

Now select -> Local Backup

› Then -> Next

This will enable you to choose the location of your backup file from the Look In drop –down’

Choose the backup file form folder. The extension of the file would be .qbb.

Click -> Open

Then -> Next

Now you will be able to choose a location where you want to save this backup file. This will be in Save In drop down.

Type a desired name of the file in File Name field.

Then -> Save.
